Ski The Boat! Tucked away in Colorado is a
small town unlike any other. A place where western heritage
and genuine friendliness are as honored as the values of a
time gone by. And a place where not a whole lot has changed
in the last hundred years. It's just that now, mixed in with
the Stetson hats and cowboy boots, is the sophistication of
a world-class resort. Our western heritage, six peaks of
world-class terrain, and family programs rated the best
in the west by SKI Magazine, continue to set Steamboat
apart from other resorts.
The Home of Champagne Powder There are several
things you can count on when you vacation in Steamboat. Rich
western heritage, small town hospitality, and snow, lots of
it. With an average of nearly 30 feet of snowfall every season,
you can expect to relish in many satisfying powder days. But
it's not just any snow here in Steamboat, we have the driest
and fluffiest snow in the world. It's so different, we coined
the phrase Champagne Powder. In fact, meteorologists have
measured Steamboat's Champagne Powderr as having 70% less
moisture content than average snow. If you have a hard time
believing it, visit us in Steamboat and get a taste for
yourself.

Steamboat Ski School - One School The Kids Won't Want To Miss!
Steamboat's kids' programs are recognized as some of the top kids programs
in U.S. by parents and kids alike. Using small groups or team ratios, we
can give all of the skiers special attention. We give parents the confidence
to know their kids are in good hands and having a great time. Whether your
child has never seen snow or is a bump-skiing superstar, we can provide a
positive and rewarding experience.
Mavericks - Superpipe
In the surfing world, Mavericks, the big wave break in California, stands alone in the fact that by its sheer size, it wipes out other big wave rivals.
Now the other Mavericks, this one over 1000 miles inland from its namesake
in Half Moon Bay, is catching the momentum and attention of the other popular
board sports. And like the wave break, Steamboat's superpipe emerged in the
freeride world as the biggest ride discovered by those that dared give it a go.
