Peak 2 Peak!
Whistler Blackcomb's boldest move yet. Twenty-eight sky cabins will travel 4.4 kms between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, offering unprecedented access to both mountains' expansive and unique high alpine terrain and spectacular views.
Stretching 2.73 miles between Whistler Mountain's Roundhouse Lodge and Blackcomb Mountain's Rendezvous Lodge, the "Peak 2 Peak" gondola will break two world records. First, it boasts the longest unsupported span between two tram towers, at almost 1.9 miles. Secondly, it will hit the highest point above ground of any tram yet built, at 1,427 feet above Fitzsimmons Creek.
What does it all mean? Skiers and snowboarders will soon link via an 11-minute ride the 4,757 acres of skiing and snowboarding terrain on Whistler Mountain with the 3,414 acres of terrain on Blackcomb Mountain -- 8,171 acres of North America's biggest, boldest skiing with a mind-blowing mix of chutes, glades, steeps, bumps and seemingly endless groomers.
More Terrain
Whistler Blackcomb recently added 1100 additional acres of new terrain on Whistler Mountain with the opening of the West Side, Peak to Creek, and the addition of Flute Bowl, offering a unique in-bounds backcountry experience. The new areas comprise Whistler Mountain's single largest terrain expansion ever bringing the total skiable acreage to an incredible 8,171 skiable acres. Talk about Endless Skiing!
Creekside Comeback
After a four-year facelift, Creekside emerges as a quiet, more intimate alternative to the main Village. Franz's Trail is a family-friendly, pedestrian-only Village
with year-round amenities: hotels, restaurants, a bank, grocery store, liquor store, retail and rental locations, plenty of free parking and Whistler's first and favorite apres hangout - Dusty's Bar and Grill.
