Three Resorts, Three Times the Fun! Banff National Park is home to three
world-class ski resorts - Ski Norquay, Lake Louise Mountain Resort and Sunshine Village.
The resorts, collectively known as Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine, offer over 7,700
acres of diverse terrain. Lose yourself in the beauty of the mountains as you dive
into the tree-lined glades, steep chutes, perfectly groomed runs and challenging bowls,
all accessed with a tri-area lift pass that includes transportation to and from many
of the Banff-Lake Louise area hotels.
You won't find expanses of condominiums or shopping malls here. What you will find
is pristine mountain peaks, abundant wildlife, and an eclectic and energetic mountain
town. In the evening, Banff Avenue comes alive as guests from all over the world stroll
the pedestrian-friendly town centre, enjoying Banff's 250 shopping experiences or trying
to decide where to enjoy dinner. Banff has over 125 restaurants, pubs and lounges
boasting international cuisine as well as local Canadian favorites.
Over 80 Years of Skiing in the Canadian Rockies "There is a feeling
of having caught nature unaware at her work of creation"
- Mountaineer A.P. Coleman, 1884
Uniquely preserved and protected as a United Nations World Heritage Site, Banff
National Park retains virtually the same vista that greeted Coleman in 1884.
This season the Park's three ski resorts celebrate over 30 years of partnership.
The ski terrain has grown, the facilities continually modernize and yet, year
after year, it is the consistent snow and wide open space that bring generations
of skiers and riders back to Banff.
Conveniently, the ski season takes place during Banff National Park's low season - the
most affordable time of the year. Expect an average 30 feet of the driest, fluffiest
champagne powder there is, immaculately groomed runs and crowd-free slopes. The area's
unique heritage, coupled with the tri-area lift ticket, is a combination not found
anywhere else.
Each of the resorts has improved snowmaking and grooming capabilities this season,
and lodges and dining facilities at each of the resorts are expanded and enhanced.
The lifts are fast, the line-ups non-existent. More important than the combined
upgrades is what hasn't changed - and won't. Ski Banff - Lake Louise - Sunshine
is synonymous with snow and space. The exquisite beauty of the Canadian Rockies
is as visible and pure today as it was 30 years ago and will continue to be for
the next 30 years.
