There are several
things you can count on when you vacation in Steamboat. Rich

it. With an average of nearly 30 feet of snowfall every season,
you can expect to relish in many satisfying powder days. But
it's not just any snow here in Steamboat, we have the driest

measured Steamboat's Champagne Powderr as having 70% less

Ski Town USA
Steamboat is known around the globe simply as
Ski Town, U.S.A. and has produced more winter Olympians than any
other town in North America, now a record 69 and counting. Including
the 20 Steamboat athletes competing at the 2006 Games, Steamboat's
Olympians have represented five different countries, and made 120
Olympic appearances during 16 Winter Games.

Steamboat's kids' programs are recognized as some of the top kids programs
in U.S. by parents and kids alike. Using small groups or team ratios, we
can give all of the skiers special attention. We give parents the confidence
to know their kids are in good hands and having a great time. Whether your
child has never seen snow or is a bump-skiing superstar, we can provide a
positive and rewarding experience.
Mavericks - Superpipe
In the surfing world, Mavericks, the big wave break in California, stands alone in the fact that by its sheer size, it wipes out other big wave rivals.
Now the other Mavericks, this one over 1000 miles inland from its namesake
in Half Moon Bay, is catching the momentum and attention of the other popular
board sports. And like the wave break, Steamboat's superpipe emerged in the
freeride world as the biggest ride discovered by those that dared give it a go.
The Mountain
Steamboat is actually a complete
mountain range: Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak,
Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge and Christie Peak. 2,965
acres (1180 hectares) of permitted terrain offer a diversity
of trails for all levels of ability.

Getting Here
Steamboat offers unprecedented access to Ski Town USA via NONSTOP flights from ten major airports and convenient connections nationwide and worldwide. New NONSTOP flights from New York JFK and expanded service from NY LaGuardia were added for the winter season. Once passengers touch down, they'll set foot in a new, ultra-spacious $18 Million terminal facility. With increased flights and a new airport terminal, and located just 22 miles from the resort Steamboat is the most accessible ski resort in Colorado.
